David Orazietti is an educator and senior academic administrator with over 30 years of experience in education and public service. He served as President of Sault College from 2023 to 2025 and as Dean of aviation, business, natural environment, and culinary from 2017 to 2023. As Dean, David Orazietti handled strategic planning, policy development, budgeting, resource management, equipment renewal, staffing, performance assessment, and employee relations.

Additionally, David Orazietti worked with community program advisory committees and developed relationships with school boards, colleges, universities, and other organizations. He supported professional development for faculty and staff.

During his academic administration career, Mr. Orazietti led a $2.3 million aviation modernization project at Sault College. The project included new safety equipment, aircraft upgrades, additional flight simulators, and simulator training renovations. He also supported technology systems for flight tracking and aircraft maintenance, as well as initiatives to improve safety, scheduling, and operations.

Moreover, Mr. Orazietti helped expand academic pathways with partner institutions. Agreements with Algoma University and Lake Superior State University created pathways to nine-degree programs in areas such as, business, environmental science, and computer science. He also worked with a team to develop and launch programs in mobile applications, aviation techniques, supply chain management, and project management.

His academic background includes a Master of Education in Administration and Curriculum from Nipissing University, an Honours Specialist qualification from the University of Toronto, a Professional Education Program from Northern Michigan University, and an Honours Bachelor of Arts from Carleton University. He also holds Ontario teaching qualifications at the intermediate and senior levels.
